Pringle Bay Mini Waste Drop-Off: A Convenient Facility for a Clean Pringle Bay

Have you spotted the new sign at the Pringle Bay Mini Waste Drop-Off? It’s a collaborative effort between the Pringle Bay Ratepayers’ Association (PBRA) and Overstrand Municipality, designed to help manage the use of the waste drop-off more effectively.

A friendly reminder: the daily operating hours remain the same as they have been for years across all Overstrand Municipality facilities.

The drop-off is open every day from 08:00 to 16:00, including public holidays. This consistency ensures that everyone can plan their waste disposal easily.

Why are the waste drop-off hours limited to between 08:00 and 16:00?

The waste drop-off attendant is on duty only during these hours to oversee and assist with the drop-off of waste.

Why is there a Waste Drop-Off Attendant?

  • Help with Waste Drop-Off: They ensure that only the right kinds of waste are accepted, so we can keep our community clean and safe.
  • Keep Everything Tidy: They organise the bins and storage space, making it easy for you to use the facility and keeping everything looking its best.
  • Protect Our Environment: They take care to prevent waste from being blown away by the wind or getting into the wrong hands—like curious animals. This helps keep our beautiful surroundings clean and healthy.
  • Stay Connected with Overstrand Municipality: Each day, they send reports to OM with photos of the facility at the start and end of the day. This helps us keep track of how things are going and make sure everything runs smoothly.
  • Be Your Liaison: They act as a friendly bridge between Overstrand Municipality and the PBRA. Their goal is to ensure the facility runs smoothly and that everyone works together to keep it a great place to use.
  •

Meet Donovan, the friendly face you’ll see every day at the Mini Waste Drop-Off!

He’s here to help keep Pringle Bay clean and running smoothly. Donovan works hard to manage the facility, so let’s show him kindness and appreciation for the important (and sometimes messy!) job he does for our community.
