Funds

Without the financial support of our members and the community, the initiatives below would not be possible. Your donations are greatly appreciated!

Conservation Fund

The PRBA plays an important role in conservation in the Hangklip area, and contributions to the conservation fund are used to help run various different projects. These projects include the purchasing and management of a camera trap to assist Cape Leopard Trust in their research, providing and maintaining signage around the village and beach aimed at preserving our wildlife and environment, as well as contributing to the equipment of the Pringle Bay Hacking group. Community support is crucial in making these projects happen.

Beach Fund

The Beach Fund goes towards maintaining the pathways’ ropes and poles which guide the paths. It is also used to create beach signage, and to support the activities of the Beach Rescue Group. Funds are really welcomed for this, as it is an ongoing project to keep the beaches as beautiful as they are.

Fire Fighters Fund

The fund goes towards any equipment which our Pringle Bay Village Volunteer Fire Fighters’ team may need. This may include clothing or safety gear or other kit needing during fire fighting activities. Overstrand Municipality owns and maintains the two fire fighting vehicles at the team’s disposal.

Medical Emergency Fund

The Community Medics Fund exists to facilitate public donations for equipment, PPE and training for the volunteers residing in our village. The Team provides an invaluable service, in the form of emergency medical support and monitoring of a patient whilst waiting for an ambulance, to the community in Pringle Bay. The responders are volunteers and do not receive reimbursement for their services.

Security Fund

The fund is used for expenses relating to the security of the village. Examples are maintenance of the License Plate Recognition (LPR) cameras and infrared lights, related software licensing and upgrades, internet connectivity and upkeep of the security hut at the entrance to Pringle.
