The association was started in 1967 by the first property owners of the village and today it is a Non-profit, registered Public Benefit Organisation which exists to represent the interests of ratepayers and residents. It plays a significant and influential role in the development and environmental conservation in the Hangklip area and represents Pringle Bay on the municipal ward committee and other consultative bodies.
