Hike Again! Brodie Link Trails Re-Open in Pringle Bay!

Cape Nature has authorised the re-opening of the hiking trails in the Brodie Link Nature Reserve.

This follows after a lengthy period following the devastating fire in January 2024, during which the sensitive fynbos was given time to recover.

The fynbos will still take years to fully recover, and therefore the public are requested to stay on the clear, demarcated footpaths only. Trail users will observe that Cape Nature has also done some repairs to the severely washed-away footpaths within the Brodie Link Nature Reserve.

Cape Nature has also responded positively to requests by the PBRA on behalf of the community, to remove the No Entry signs at the Brodie Link trail entrances, as well as to provide for pedestrian passage through the newly erected fence along the existing footpath near upper Stream Road.

Let us all appreciate the privilege to have the Brodie Link Nature Reserve on our doorstep, and let us all be responsible users of the hiking trails within the area. Above all, let us respect and support Cape Nature in its management of the Brodie Link Nature Reserve.

Happy Hiking!
